Its been a while

Its been almost a year since my last post and a lot has changed. I left my marine tech job the end of Aug 08 for a marina management job for the city of Silver Bay. It was a well timed move with the economy tanking and gas prices having been astronomical that summer. The new job has great benefits and much better pay plus I'm so close to home. Hopefully this year I will get out and do the riding I have been craving!

I have done away with the speedometer on my bike and went to a trailtech vapor computer. It is very nice compared to other speedo's I've seen. Heres a link to the computer.

The weather was finally good enough

Well the weather was finally cooperative yesterday and I was able to get out for a short shakedown ride. I'm happy to say all went well and it was damn fun. Now if the weather would just stay good but....... here comes the April snow storm what a downer :( they are saying we will get a foot of snow. I just hope that it warms back up quickly so it can melt off. Well enough for today.......

Face book

Tonight I joined facebook and I must say its interesting. The wife and I have been checking it out together. I've found a few groups for dirt biking and joined up, maybe I'll get some info on some good riding areas.

March is officially here now and thats a good thing the time is ticking down on spring and the start of riding time. Well good night............

Been a while

It has been a rough patch lately. We had a cold in the house and this was the first for Sydney. Everyone is getting over it now and we are trying to get our sleep back (infants with colds are not good sleepers).

The bike is working out good I have finished most of the plans I had and some extras. I decided to try out a new "iridium plug" from NGK. I am loading up my tool pack with the most needed items, and my mother is working on my pack to go between the speedo and number plate. Now I just need the weather to warm up and the snow to melt (wishful thinking).

Spare fuel

Today I got the spare fuel tanks mounted. I think it will work, I just need to test it with fuel in the cans during a bumpy ride. I'm still working on the lights in the speedo, I have to connect up the wires and either mount up a switch or wire them into the tail light so they stay on. I haven't decided just yet. Man am I ever wishing that it was favorable weather to ride! Unfortunately its going to be a couple more months minimum.
